A Novel

In the frozen aftermath of Snapfall, a climate catastrophe that shattered both ecosystems and society, Kari has kept her people alive by scavenging the ruins of the old world. But when starvation threatens and a militia offers protection in exchange for control, Kari embarks on a quest to find native seeds, grow enough food to feed her village, and reclaim its independence.

She is joined by a botanist obsessed with restoring plant life, a former militiaman with a dangerous secret, a tech expert who specializes in petty revenge, and a healer fleeing a brutal past.

Their journey will lead them to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, where the last viable seeds of the old world are rumored to be stored. But as extreme weather, violent factions, and uneasy alliances close in, the group begins to fracture. When one of their own betrays them, Kari is left leading a team on the brink of collapse toward a prize that may no longer exist.
